What happens if I do not turn up for my SIXT pick-up?

Cancel a booking

If you don't show up for pick-up and haven't cancelled or contacted us, your booking is marked as a no-show. With Prepaid, no refund is issued; with Flexi, a no-show fee may apply. A quick message – even on the day itself – frees up the vehicle for other customers and reduces any potential charges.

No-show with Prepaid

The full prepaid amount is retained. Partial refunds are not granted in case of no-show. Get in touch in advance – we can sometimes arrange a rebooking.

No-show with Flexi

A no-show fee may apply if you don't collect the vehicle and haven't cancelled in advance. Please cancel free of charge on the website or in the SIXT app under "Bookings", or let us know – this frees up the vehicle for other customers.

Late, but not a no-show

With your flight number on file, we automatically hold your vehicle for your adjusted arrival time (service for air travellers). Without a flight number, a grace period of up to 1 hour from your booked pick-up time applies, within the branch's opening hours. Please let us know early if you're going to be late.
