Types of Reservations

SIXT offers different rates to suit your individual travel plans. With the Flexi rate, you enjoy maximum flexibility and pay conveniently at vehicle pickup. The Prepaid ("Pay Now") rate is ideal for fixed plans and allows immediate online payment at an attractive price.

How does the Flexi rate work at SIXT?

• Payment is made at vehicle pickup; for selected categories, payment without a credit card may also be possible.
• Free cancellation at any time before pickup.
• Accepted payment methods: all major international credit cards, and in some countries VPay and Maestro. See the rental information for the exact accepted payment methods per country.
• Cash payment is not possible.

How does the Prepaid rate work at SIXT?

• Immediate online payment at booking with credit card or PayPal.
• Driver and payment details are fixed at the time of booking and cannot be changed afterwards.
• No refund for late pickup or early return.
• Cancellations before the scheduled pickup time are possible; see rental terms for detailed conditions.
• Switching from Prepaid to Flexi rate is not possible.
• No-show: If the vehicle is not collected, the rental price on the booking confirmation is fully payable. The SIXT reservation remains valid until the scheduled return time.

What should I know about wholesaler bookings?

• Modifications or cancellations must be handled exclusively through the wholesaler.
• SIXT cannot make direct changes to bookings made via a broker.
