Car hire with sat nav

Hiring a car in an unfamiliar city or country can be challenging enough without the added pressure of trying to navigate your way along unknown roads or relying on a passenger to give you directions from a fold-up map. Having a car hire with a sat nav makes driving effortless and dispels the natural anxieties of driving to a new destination. With GPS tracking, your position anywhere can be accurately plotted on the touchscreen so that you can always be sure where you are and clear audio instructions will guide your hire car to each destination in the shortest route.

Stay on track with a sat nav in your SIXT hire car

If you’re planning to hire a car in an unfamiliar destination, choose SIXT as you'll only get the latest sat nav models to keep you on track and on time. SIXT uses only the newest and most up-to-date sat nav units to ensure that the maps and directions are correct.

Vehicles with included sat nav as standard

Some of our car models have sat nav already included within their console! This will be highlighted to you under the car rental specifications when selecting a vehicle category. There will be no extra charges.

Add a sat nav to your booking

If you decide to add a sat nav to your rental car booking, you will either get a rental car with a built-in navigation system or a portable Sat Nav. Simply select "Sat Nav Guaranteed" after you have chosen your vehicle category and the price will be updated immediately.

How to use a sat nav

Even for technophobes, programming a sat nav in your car hire is easy. It’s a simple matter of inputting your destination address, postcode or attraction name and the sat nav will calculate the quickest route using your position as its starting point. If you have any questions, our helpful staff will help you to set up the sat nav in your car hire. Your own handy sat nav can be added to any of our rental categories.
