Every SIXT confirmation includes the address, directions and opening hours of your SIXT branch. Open the SIXT app, select your booking and tap "Open map" under "Branch information" to start Google Maps or Apple Maps with live navigation. You'll also find the opening hours directly under "Branch information".
From the airport terminal
After your arrival, follow the signs for "Car Rental" or "Mietwagen". Most SIXT airport branches are located in the Car Rental Centre – usually 5–15 minutes on foot or via a short shuttle. You'll find the exact route in the SIXT app.
From the train station
At many larger train stations, the SIXT branch is signposted directly. At smaller stations, the branch may be a little further away – the exact address and distance are shown in your confirmation and in the SIXT app.
When the branch isn't at the location itself
Some branches operate from a nearby hotel or business park. Your confirmation includes the exact street – so you'll find us easily, even without signage.

Tip: For flight arrivals, add your flight number to your booking so we can automatically track your arrival time and have your vehicle ready accordingly.

Without flight number
A grace period of 60 minutes from your booked pick-up time applies, within the branch's opening hours. You can add your flight number any time in the SIXT app under "My Bookings" (takes about 30 seconds) – doing so additionally guarantees your booked vehicle category and automatic protection in case of delays.
Prepaid booking
Prepaid reservations are held throughout the entire rental period. However, adding your flight number is the only way to guarantee your booked vehicle category and automatic protection in the event of flight delays.

No flight number to hand?
You can add your flight number any time up to pick-up. Without a flight number, the branch uses your booked pick-up time as the reference and the 60-minute grace period within the branch's opening hours applies.

If you're running late, we'll hold your vehicle free of charge for up to 60 minutes from your booked pick-up time, within the branch's opening hours. If you're going to be even later, just message us via Live Chat – we'll keep your booked vehicle ready for you.
The 60-minute grace period
From your scheduled pick-up time, we hold your vehicle for up to 1 hour within the branch's opening hours – free of charge and without any action needed from you. This grace period is also noted in your booking confirmation.
Longer delays
Just message us via Live Chat with your booking reference. We'll check whether your original vehicle can still be held – if not, we'll offer you the closest equivalent vehicle available.
With flight number (airport branches)
With your flight number on file, your booking is automatically guaranteed for up to 24 hours from your original pick-up time – we track your flight in real time. Airport branches also stay open for up to 1 hour past their closing time in case of delays.
No contact = no-show
Without a message from you, your booking may be marked as a no-show once the grace period has expired – the booking then lapses
With Prepaid, you can still collect the vehicle later, provided you arrive at the branch within the originally booked rental period and during the branch's opening hours. Please let us know via Live Chat in advance

Our parking spaces are reserved exclusively for our hire fleet – private parking is not permitted at our stations, including during your hire period.
The good news: Public parking options are available near most of our stations. Simply look up your pick-up location in the Sixt app or on our website – you'll find the exact address there and can check the surrounding area for car parks or on-street parking. At airports and railway stations, long-stay car parks are usually just a short walk away.
