Which car do I get and what are the configuration options for my SIXT + car?

WHICH VEHICLES CAN I CHOOSE FROM WITH SIXT+?

We offer many different vehicle packages and models in a SIXT+ subscription: from small cars, station wagons and SUVs to high-class premium models. On our website and the app you will find all the models currently available.

WHAT DO THE SAMPLE VEHICLES FOR EACH VEHICLE GROUP MEAN? WHICH VEHICLE WILL I RECEIVE?

Our claim to all of our SIXT + car subscription offers is to cover our customers' individual mobility needs as flexibly, quickly and immediately as possible. By selecting a bundled vehicle group from similar vehicle models (also called ACRISS Code), we are able to provide you with your vehicle quickly and easily. Which vehicle you receive from this category is only decided at our SIXT station on the day of collection. All of our SIXT + cars are new or as new and contain high-quality equipment.

WILL I RECEIVE A NEW CAR?

All of our SIXT+ vehicles are new to as good as new and are always from the current or last model year. Each vehicle is also professionally cleaned before handover.

TO WHAT EXTENT CAN I CONFIGURE MY SIXT+ CAR?

You will receive a vehicle from the selected vehicle group. There is no model guarantee and no claim to a specific vehicle, brand, model or motorization.

However, depending on the vehicle, you have the option of selecting available extras. This includes e.g. more inclusive miles, a lower deductible of your protection package, or the addition of additional drivers.

CAN I CHOOSE THE COLOR OF MY CAR?

Unfortunately, we cannot fulfill a specific color request. However, the colors of all SIXT+ cars correspond to the average acceptance by vehicle manufacturers in the UK, and are usually metallic in color.

CAN I BOOK MORE INCLUDED MILES?

During the online configuration of your SIXT+ car, you can select exactly the milage package that best suits your needs. Depending on the vehicle selected, the milage packages offered may vary.

CAN I TAKE MY MILAGE CREDIT FROM ONE MONTH TO THE NEXT?

Your inclusive miles always refer to a 30-day billing period and we will credit you with unused miles for the next month. If you notice that you need a different amount of inclusive miles during your term, you can adjust this at any time via your login on the SIXT app. So you actually only pay for what you use.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DRIVE MORE THAN THE MILES INCLUDED IN MY SUBSCRIPTION?

No problem, you can either increase your current mileage package in advance using your online login or simply continue without any short-term adjustments. At the end of each billing period, we ask you to inform us of the miles driven via your login in the SIXT app. If you have driven more miles than originally planned, we will calculate the additional miles with a flat rate of a few pence per mile. The prices per mile vary depending on the vehicle model and can be viewed within your online account for your specific SIXT + car.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET TO SUBMIT MY MILEAGE?

At the end of each term, we ask you to inform us of the mileage  via your SIXT app. If you ever forget to transmit the miles traveled, no problem. Please note that in the event of failure to transmit the mileage  traveled, an initial processing fee of £9.99 will be charged. From the second month, the processing fee increases to £19.99 per month.

MAY ANOTHER PERSON - EXCEPT ME - DRIVE MY SIXT+ CAR?

You can use your SIXT + car with several drivers if you have added them to your subscription configuration. To ensure that your selected protection option also applies to additional drivers, we charge an additional driver fee per driver. If the additional driver cannot be present when the vehicle is picked up, please bring the valid driver's license of the additional driver as well as an authorization at the time of the vehicle pickup. Of course, you can also register an additional driver at any Sixt branch in the UK at a later stage. An important note: In the event of damage, claims can be rejected if additional drivers are not registered in the rental contract.

CAN I BOOK A CHILD SEAT?

The safety of our passengers comes first. We offer tested child seats for different age groups so that you can also travel safely with children. We regularly check the quality of the seats and replace them with new ones if necessary.

IS SMOKING PERMITTED IN THE SIXT RENTAL VEHICLES?

No, SIXT maintains a 100% smoke-free fleet in the UK and any type of smoking (pipe, cigarette, cigar) is prohibited in all SIXT vehicles. Additional fees may be charged for special cleaning if the vehicle is returned smelling of smoke.

ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE CAR?

Yes, Pets are allowed in Sixt vehicles, provided the seats are covered, or the animal is kept in a cage/carrier. Please be aware a vehicle cleaning fee may be applied should the vehicle return soiled.

CAN I CHANGE MY SIXT+ CAR?

During the term and subsequent renewal terms, you cannot exchange the vehicle for another vehicle in the selected car category anymore, unless required by SIXT.

Depending on the mileage or holding time of your current vehicle, it can be necessary to replace you car with another, equivalent vehicle, i.e. one that corresponds to the contractually agreed vehicle group. If applicable, you will be informed about the necessary vehicle exchange by the responsible SIXT branch, and we will arrange an appointment for you to exchange wit no less than 3 days notice. You don't have to worry about anything, and you get a new, clean, perfectly-maintained, and safe car of the same category.
