SIXT's location at London Stansted Airport 

A complimentary SIXT shuttle bus departs every ten minutes from the STN terminal to the car collection point at the Car Rental Village. You can catch the shuttle from outside the main exit at Arrivals – follow the signs in the terminal for taxis and buses to the car parks. To return your car you need to follow the signs from the motorway to the airport and look out for signs to Coopers End Road and Endeavour House. The Car Rental Village will be on the left-hand side and from there, the free shuttle bus will take you to Departures.

Hire a car at STN and use this as the ideal starting point to explore London and towns in the east of England, such as Cambridge or Norwich. Take the time to explore Stansted itself. Once you have picked up your London Stansted Airport car hire, pop across to Mountfitchet Castle, a 10-minute drive away or go and visit the Hatfield Forest, just 2 miles away from the airport. Rented for 1 day with the team at sixt Stansted Airport, the guys there were not only extremely professional, but yet fun, knowledgeable and without doubt made the stress of renting a vehicle much easier, Quentin, Dean, Dan, Luis and rest of gang there are a credit to your company and without any doubt I'll be renting from you again at your site at the rental village in Stansted Airport soon in the new year!

Simply THE BEST service regarding car rental one could possibly wish for. After being denied by a company which we originally booked with (who don't deserve to be named), we had come at desk where a friendly gentleman (whose name I unfortunately don't remember) greeted us and arranged a hire ASAP (20 min start to finish) despite being pre-booked and formally no cars available. Saved me (the driver, 19 y/o) and my younger mate from the hassle of taking public transport for over 3 hours one way, multiple transfers included, while needing to haul large amount of stuff, thus making our over-the-weekend business trip in England a month ago more than pleasant. The staff even helped locate mirror adjustment controls in the car which had it in an inconvenient location. All around the absolute go to for renting if you're under 21 in the UK, quite possibly regardless of age. Much love to Sixt from Croatia x

Upon arrival the SIXT desk to collect my car it became apparent that I'd made a mistake with my booking. I'd hastily made arrangements, the rush because of a minor emergency (the reason for my trip) and it turned out my booking was for the next day.

 

The staff member on duty was a Mr. Dean Brett, who welcomed me very warmly and had a cheerful and pleasant nature, but my heart sank when I was delivered the news. However, Dean had a look at what was possible and managed to alter the booking without a big financial addition in cost and did all he could to present me with the best value possible.

 

Dean was exemplary in his manner, he demonstrated good knowledge and skill. He was efficient and effective and his experience in this situation made my experience a very pleasant one, considering the circumstances I'd put myself in.

 

What could so easily have been a disaster, was quickly resurrected by Mr. Brett and I felt cared for and I felt safe and valued and it was easy to place my trust in Mr. Brett.

 

We had a chat walking out to the car and shared a funny auto story or two and then I was given a quick rundown on the car itself.

 

As I was ready to leave, Mr. Brett gave me a wave, a smile and I drove off feeling special.

 

Mr. Brett is truly a great ambassador for the Sixt brand.

 

Also, during my visit, I ended up needing the car for an extra day. I phoned the number Dean had given me and it was instantly answered by a staff member by the name of Ian (I'm sorry, I didn't get Ian's seocnd name).

 

Ian proved that Dean wasn't a one off. Ian was equally as genial, helpful and pleasant. He was able to extend the rental for the extra day and did his best to keep any unnecessary surplus costs down.

 

When I returned the car, Ian was at the desk to greet me. There was a situation going on at the time with lack of fuel at the service stations.

 

Lots of customers in the car hire building were agitated, angry, loud but Ian was cool, calm and collected and I'm sure this problem was impinging upon operations, but again, quality staff maintaining a brilliant standard of customer service.

 

I don't think I'm going to have trouble selecting a car hire company next time I travel.

Hopefully I'll book the correct dates next time around.
