Important Information to remember when renting a luxury car in France

      Driver's licence

Driver’s licences from all the EU countries are accepted. A person from a non-EU country must prove that they have no visa and have been in the country for less than six months. Those who have been in the EU for more than six months should produce a valid EU driver’s license. You will be required to show the original driver’s licence if yours is not printed in the Roman alphabet.

      Age Restrictions

To drive and rent a car in France, you must have attained the age of 18 and held a valid driving licence for more than two years. A daily surcharge will apply to your vehicle if you are under 25 years. It is also important to note that certain categories of vehicles will require you to have held a valid driver’s license for over five or ten years.

      Credit & Debit Card Payment

All major internationally recognised credit cards are accepted except prepaid credit cards and debit cards such as Visa Electron. You can easily book a rental ahead of time using your credit card. The card must be in the driver’s name and he/she must possess a valid driver’s licence and a passport or ID at the time of collection.
