I rented an Audi Q5 and was advised there would be an additional deposit at the time of rental. I asked if I could pay with a debit card when I returned and was told yes. When I returned the SUV, I was told it was company policy to not accept debit cards. Had I know this I would have chosen a different company that accepted debit cards. Since I did not have a reservation elsewhere where, I felt has if I had no other choice then to use my company credit card for personal business since I do not utilize personal credit cards. I don’t even know if I can use my debit card by calling corporate to get it reversed and charged to my debit card.I checked the sire and it stated that since I am not local, I could use a debit card. I realize now that I could not have used a debit card since I rented a luxury car, but this was not part of my planning since I initially booked a non-luxury car and decided last minute to upgrade.
Additionally, there was no personal at the desk to pick up, so I walked out to the pickup and was turned back around being told there was someone there, my guest also agreed that no person was there nor did anyone show up after being called out for them. The person was there upon the return the second time.
Lastly, overall I had a good experience with a good car. I would increase my score if Sixt were to correct this debit card issue for myself.
