How to find us at Dallas Fort Worth Airport

Our Dallas Fort Worth airport branch is located right outside the terminals. Passengers arriving at the airport should go down one level from the baggage claims area then turn right at the exit towards the car hire shuttle stop. The shuttle will then transport you to the Car Hire Centre pick-up area. You can also return your vehicle to the Car Hire Centre. If you are driving from the city, you can reach the airport via the 114 highway and turn off at the International Parkway. To return your vehicle, you should drive into the Car Hire Centre and follow the SIXT signs to the upper level.

I’ve been renting from Sixt at the DFW airport once or twice a month for the last 8 months and their staff has always been very helpful when I check in. Some customers aren’t very nice and just like to complain but their team here does a great job of you treat them cordially. Ebaa checked me in and was very friendly.

Let me be clear: the employees are very friendly, with great customer service. However, I had some issues. First, I pre-paid for a sedan. When I got there, the only choices were a 7-passenger van at no additional cost (gee thanks), or a smaller car with no credit or refund for the difference in price for what I had reserved.

 

When I returned the car, the employee walked all the way around it, checking it carefully. Nothing was said about damages, but a few days later, I received a damage notice via email, stating that there is a *new* large scratch on the driver's side door. If this big scratch was actually there when I turned it in, the employee should have pointed it out, and I could have taken pictures to protect myself against false claims.

 

I have submitted a response to Sxit explaining the above, and will update this review once I know whether Sixt behaves ethically in this matter.

 

UPDATED 11/22/21: I called the company today. After waiting a fair amount of time on hold, I spoke with an employee who confirmed that the scratch was minor, and that they would be closing the claim without pursuing financial damages against me. Based on the fact that they did the right thing, I've upgraded their rating, and will consider giving them another try in the future.
