Process of renting and hand over was perfect. I did not Ike at at how my car was checked during the return.

The guy went down under the car and found the front spoiler had scratches below. What else shall you check when you pick up the car.

I am very sure I did not touch anything by parking the car.

Looks like the guy has an incentive to find something, either all returns are like that or none

I would like to clarify comments submitted several days ago, aimed at rental car companies "in general". I had been frustrated at what I considered a bit of over-pricing at "all" airports.


I was on an emergency visit due to an elderly family member's grave health, and a reservation I had previously made with another rental car company (not SIXT) fell apart. I was anxious.


Upon discovery that I needed a new rental, fast, I scrambled for an alternative rental among other rental Companies at the Frankfurt Airport. Some online, others by checking in at the various counters. As I sought other alternatives, I was struck by the pricing.


As another recent review indicated, the rental car experience was great overall but there was also a concern about the additional fees. And in particular all the additional insurance options which in some instances seemed to nearly double overall costs.


No one wants that. In all honesty it may be out of the control of these companies. A lot is Regulatory, I get that. Certainly, someone should really push reducing the number of fees tacked on across the board, in particular insurance additives.


Today's Rental options whether a property, vehicle or temporary usage of just about anything, is changing. Fast! And believe it or not, Options like a train or bus still exist even during a public health emergency.


I just sometimes believe public transportation alternatives are pricing themselves "out" of opportunity by what I've described above. Otherwise, I can't point a finger directly at any one car rental company and blame them for something like pricing.


In the previous review, I regretfully used words like "rental ransom". But use of such colorful words was not so much about intentional overpricing insomuch as it was about allowing fees and pricey insurances to sort of "price up" and "price out" an otherwise necessary, very useful transportation alternative like rental cars.


With that all shared, I'll have to give a HUGE shot out to SIXT because they promptly addressed my concerns even though it was not theirs to bear alone. To whomever took the time to respond and reach out, just know that means a heck of a lot to me and I feel it does as well to the majority of travelers. Thank you!


And besides, I've had past experiences with SIXT that have been extraordinary in regards to the warm experiences at the counter, the speed in which I've received my rental, getting the vehicle that fit my needs, the cleanliness and mechanical functioning of each vehicle, the ease of returning the vehicle and quite frankly the overall customer service experience.


Pricing? Well, in comparison with others both at the terminal AND online, I would say SIXT has always appeared to be on the lower end of comparable pricing.


In other words, SIXT will continue to be my first option for airport rentals cars.
