How old do I need to be to hire a van?

We provide our smallest vans to drivers as young as 21 years old with our biggest available to those as young as 25 years old.

Which documents are needed to rent a van for the weekend?

To hire a van for the weekend you will need to provide a valid licence, your payment method in the driver’s name and 2 forms of address no older than 3 months.

Can I hire a van on a Sunday with SIXT?

Many of our branches are open on Sundays. Please check the individual opening hours of the branch where you want to hire your van. Most of our branches have the option to return your van outside of opening hours, meaning you can return your van on Sundays even if the branch is closed.

Where can I hire a van for the weekend?

Our weekend van hire fleet

We carry a range of van sizes suitable for any moving needs. Each of our vans are in new condition, on average only 3 months old. With a SIXT van you know you’re getting the latest in performance, safety and infotainment equipment. For small vans we carry the VW transporter, a well-handling vehicle, as well as the Ford Transit Custom or Vauxhall Vivaro. For larger vehicles we have the VW Crafter and Ford Transit. If you need a lot of room we have a box van in the form of the Ford Transit Luton, which also has a tail lift. If you need handy add-ons you can include things like a sat nav for not much money and we also offer moving equipment.
