Can I request a specific car model?

You can request to travel with a pet by adding a note during booking — drivers will do their best to accommodate you, though SIXT cannot guarantee the request will always be fulfilled.

How to let your driver know

1. Start your SIXT ride booking as normal.
2. Find the 'Notes to driver' field during the booking process.
3. Enter your pet details in English or the local language so your driver can understand and prepare.

• Drivers will endeavour to fulfil special requests entered in the 'Notes to driver' field.
• SIXT cannot guarantee that free-text requests for special requirements will always be met.
• Writing in English or the local language gives your driver the best chance of acting on your note.

SIXT cannot guarantee a specific car model. When you book, the vehicle shown is an example of the class you've chosen — you're guaranteed that class, not that exact model.

What your booking covers

• You're booked into a vehicle class (for example, Compact or SUV), not a named model
• The car pictured during booking is illustrative of that class
• The exact model available at collection depends on the branch's fleet at that time

Yes — child seats are available for SIXT ride bookings at no extra charge, and in many countries they're a legal requirement when travelling with children.

How to add a child seat

1. Start your SIXT ride booking as normal
2. Select the child seat type that matches your child's weight
3. Confirm your booking — the seat is included free of charge

Important

You must request the child seat at the time of booking. If no child seat is specified beforehand, the ride cannot go ahead and the full fare will still be charged.
