Can I eat or drink in the vehicle during a SIXT ride?

Yes — you can extend an hourly SIXT ride booking or add a stop-over to a distance booking, subject to availability and driver approval.

Extending an hourly booking

Let your driver know you'd like more time. Extra hours are subject to availability and charged in one-hour increments at your booking's hourly rate.

Adding a stop-over to a distance booking

Stop-overs are allowed when noted in the NOTES TO DRIVER field at the time of booking. For spontaneous stops during the journey, you'll need your driver's approval. Additional kilometres or waiting time may incur extra charges. See our booking conditions for full details.

Drinks are welcome in the vehicle; food is not. Here's what to expect during your SIXT ride.

Drinks

• Non-alcoholic drinks are permitted throughout your ride
• Premium booking classes include a complimentary bottle of water
• Alcoholic drinks are only permitted with the driver's prior agreement and in line with local laws
• If a passenger's intoxication puts the safety of the ride at risk, the driver will stop the journey

Food

• Please do not consume food in the vehicle, particularly anything with a strong odour
• If the vehicle is left soiled — for example, by food scraps — cleaning costs may be charged
