What is the American Express SIXT ride benefit?

Eligible American Express® cardmembers enrolled in the SIXT ride benefit receive annual ride credits to use toward pre-booked premium chauffeur services worldwide. How to get started

1. Log in to the Amex Experiences App
2. Enrol in the SIXT ride benefit using your email address
3. Download the SIXT App and register (new users) or log in (existing users) with the same email address
4. Browse ride offers available for your route
5. Apply one credit per booking at checkout
6. Add your American Express® Card as your payment method and confirm the booking

Credit structure

Your total annual credit amount, number of credits, and value per credit depend on your American Express® Card type and market. Check the Amex Experiences App for details specific to your card.

Important to know

• Credits are valid for 12 months from your enrolment date
• Credits are automatically applied on the enrolment date
• Credits can only be used for SIXT ride transfer and chauffeur services — not taxis or third-party rides
• You must use the same email address at SIXT account registration or login as the one you used when enrolling

Your American Express ride credits apply to Premium and Standard SIXT ride services booked directly through our platform. Check the Amex Experiences App to confirm which services your specific credits cover.

Eligible services: pre-booked SIXT ride

• Airport transfers arranged by SIXT ride
• Point-to-point Standard transfers (RIDE, RIDE XL)
• Point-to-point Premium transfers (BUSINESS, BUSINESS XL, FIRST)
• Hourly chauffeur service booked by the hour
• GREEN ride categories (eco-friendly options)

Not eligible: third-party services

• Taxi services (pre-booked or on-demand)
• Third-party ride platforms, for example Lyft, Cabify, Addison Lee, Marcel, taxi dispatch centres, and other partner platforms

If your American Express SIXT ride credits aren't showing, the most common cause is an email address mismatch between your enrolment and your SIXT account — follow the steps below to resolve it.

1. Email address mismatch

The email used during enrolment must match the one on your SIXT account.

1. Check your enrolment confirmation email to see which address you used.
2. Open the SIXT App → Account Settings → Personal Details to confirm your SIXT account email.
3. If the addresses differ, choose one of the following options:
   • Option A: Create a new SIXT account using the email address you enrolled the benefit with.
   • Option B: Contact the SIXT support team to update the email address linked to your benefit. You'll need to provide your personal reference ID (found in your enrolment confirmation email) to verify your identity and authorise the change.

2. Card eligibility issue

Your American Express® Card may no longer be eligible for the benefit.

1. Log in to the Amex Experiences App and confirm the SIXT ride credit is available for your card.
2. Check that your SIXT ride credit has been activated.
3. If your card has been cancelled or downgraded, re-enrol with an eligible card.

What happens to your American Express credits when you cancel a SIXT ride depends on whether a cancellation fee applies to your booking.

No cancellation fee

If no cancellation fee applies, your credit is returned to your account in full.

• The credit is automatically restored to your available balance
• You can use it towards another booking
• Your total credit count stays the same

Cancellation policies vary by ride class — check the booking conditions for your specific ride.

Cancellation fee applies

If your cancellation incurs a fee, your ride credit is used to cover it.

• The full credit value is applied towards the cancellation fee
• This applies even if the cancellation fee is lower than the credit value
• Any remaining balance is forfeited — you won't receive change or a partial credit

American Express ride credits cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, or special rates — they work as a standalone benefit on eligible SIXT ride bookings.
