Can I add a voucher to an existing booking?

SIXT ride allows you to use vouchers and promotional codes to reduce the fare for your rides. These can be applied during the booking process on both the website and the app.

How to Redeem a Voucher

On the Website: At the bottom of your checkout page, enter your voucher code in the voucher code entry field and click on APPLY. The discount will be applied immediately to the total fare.

On the SIXT App: After entering your route and ride details, click on ADD VOUCHER. Enter your code or select one from your wallet. The final price will be adjusted automatically.

Conditions for Using Vouchers

• Vouchers cannot be applied to an existing booking; you must cancel the current ride and apply the voucher to a new booking.
• If cancellation fees apply, the voucher will be used to cover them.
• Vouchers are subject to terms and conditions, including expiration dates and ride eligibility.

Important Notes

• Ensure your voucher is valid for the selected ride category and location.
• Only one voucher can be applied per booking unless specified otherwise.
• Promotions and vouchers are not transferable and must be redeemed by the account holder.

Use of voucher on the website

While you are on the PAYMENT DETAILS step of your booking click on "Add Extras". You will be able to enter your voucher here. 

Use of voucher on the SIXT app

After you have entered your route and ride details and before selecting a vehicle class, click on "Add Voucher". You can choose one of the vouchers codes of your wallet or simply add a new code.

Once you have submitted your voucher code, the final price will be adjusted accordingly.
Please note that vouchers are subject to certain terms and conditions.

If your cancellation was subject to cancellation fees, your voucher was consumed for those. If no cancellations fees were applied, you can use the voucher for your next booking.

It is currently not possible to add a voucher to an existing booking. You need to cancel the ride and add the voucher to the new booking. We recommend you to simply use the voucher on your next booking to avoid cancellation fees.
