OUR SIXT NETWORK
Our global SIXT network remains generally operating. There might be certain territorial restrictions in highly affected coronavirus areas, where we had to adapt our opening hours. In any case, we will proactively contact our customers to find a solution together (e.g. pick-up at another branch nearby, delivery, etc.)

OUR CURRENT HYGIENE MEASURES
We would like you to know that we have introduced additional hygiene measures that go above and beyond our already rigorous cleaning standards so that we always provide the safest possible environment for our customers and employees in these extraordinary times.
HYGIENE STANDARDS IN OUR BRANCHES
We have distributed hygiene materials and introduced intensive cleaning processes to minimize virus transmission in our branches. Additionally, we are following the recommendations of the WHO to reduce the risk of transmission during the Coronavirus outbreak by updating our operations, for example:
- Instructing our employees to wash their hands thoroughly.
- Building plexiglass counter screens in all branches.
- If required by the local authorities, all of our agents with customer contact are wearing face masks to protect themselves as well as customers.
We have introduced further practices to better maintain social distancing:
- Displaying signage and adding floor markers to guide customers at the branch and preserve distancing.
- If required by the local authorities, we are limiting the number of employees and customers in a location.
SIXT PREMIUM CLEANING STANDARD
Every vehicle has to fulfill the SIXT Premium Cleaning Standard. This means that before we rent any vehicle, they are professionally cleaned in a multi-step cleaning process incorporating the latest products, including disinfectants, to minimize the risk of germ transmission.
STEP 1. GENERAL INSPECTION OF VEHICLE

STEP 2. CLEANING OF THE VEHICLE INTERIOR
- Remove trash and lost/found items
- Vacuum interior front seat area

- Steering wheels

SIXT FASTLANE – FAST & CONTACTLESS
Sixt Fastlane is a contactless travel experience. You can go directly to the rental car, open it with the app, and drive off. No waiting times and safe!
1. CHOOSE YOUR DESIRED VEHICLE VIA THE APP
Options available from 30 minutes prior to rental start*. Push messages from the app must be activated!
2. GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR RENTAL CAR
No waiting at the counter. The SIXT app guides you to the location of your vehicle.
3. OPEN YOUR CAR VIA THE APP
The rental agreement is created at the same time. Activate your Bluetooth and mobile phone connection! The vehicle key is in the glove compartment.
