Another great activity in Tenerife is whale and dolphin watching, with daily boat excursions departing Los Gigantes, Los Cristianos and Las Americas beaches, where you can also enjoy a lovely beach day with the family. If you find yourselves near Los Cristianos, especially when travelling with children, it’s worth checking out Siam Park, which is a water-based amusement park with slides and an enormous wave pool.
Summer in Tenerife
In summertime take advantage of the lovely warm waters surrounding Tenerife. Visit the world-renowned Playa de las Americas beach, or take the whole family to the exciting waterpark at Siam Park. For live music, exhibitions and open-air restaurants on the waterfront, head to the Tenerife Auditorium with its avant garde architecture. If you want a more active holiday, drive to the north-west and go on the Masca Mountain and Valley Hike. It's for the casual hiker, just over 4 miles long.
