1. Do you have a bonus or loyalty scheme?

Yes, Sixt operate a bonus/loyalty scheme, whereby we issue Sixt Express cards.

2. How can I find out information about your bonus  / loyalty scheme?

3. What are Sixt Express cards?

There are bonus scheme or loyalty cards, which are issued, or available to a new Sixt customer or an existing Sixt customer, depending on how many rentals they have had within a 12-month period.

4. What type of Sixt Express cards are available?

There is the initial Sixt Express Card and also available are the Gold, Platinum or Diamond Cards.

5. How can I apply for a Sixt Express card?

A Sixt Express card will be automatically sent out to you, once your first rental with Sixt has been completed.

6. Where can I use the Sixt Express card or any of the loyalty cards?

They can be used in as many as 75 countries worldwide.

7. How much does a Sixt Express card or any of the loyalty cards cost?

All Sixt cards are free of charge and very easy to use.

8. What discounts or benefits does the Sixt Express card offer?

The benefit for you as the customer is that we will have your relevant details on record, which will enable us to speed up the checking in process at the start of your rental, meaning:

  • No rental formalities (your personal data is stored behind the card.
  • Minimal waiting time at the arrival location and easy payment (your stored credit card details on the card).
  • Collectable miles with our Airline Partners.
  • Collectable points with our Hotel Partners.

The Sixt Express Card does not offer any discounts or upgrade, however if you have a membership with one of our Partner programmes, then you may receive a discount of up to 10%.

9. When am I entitled to an upgraded card / membership?

A basic Express Card would be upgraded to a Gold card after 5 rentals within a 12-month period.

A Gold Card would be upgraded to a Platinum Card as follows:

  • After 10 rentals in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Spain, UK or USA  = You should automatically be upgraded to a Platinum Card.
  • After 20 rentals in Austria, Germany or Switzerland = You should automatically be upgraded to a Platinum Card.

 

Where you have membership status with a certain Airline or Hotel chain, you can obtain your Gold Sixt Card status online, with you Airline or Hotel membership number.

10. What is a Gold Card, how can I apply for a Platinum card & what benefits does this card have?

A Gold Sixt Card has the same benefits as the Sixt Express card and you will receive a discount of up to 10% on the online rates (except for special offers).

You can obtain a Gold Sixt Card as a 'frequent driver' (in the UK this is 5 rentals in a 12 month period) or if you have a certain membership status with an Airline or Hotel chain.

11. What is a Platinum Card, how can I apply for a Platinum card & what benefits does this card have?

A Platinum Card has the same benefits as the Express card and you will be entitled to a discount of up to 15% on the online rates (except for special offers) and a free upgrade (subject to availability).

You can obtain a Platinum Card as a 'frequent driver', within a 12 month period where:

  • After 10 rentals in Belgium, France, Netherlands, Spain, UK or USA 

= You should automatically be upgraded to a Platinum Card.

  • After 20 rentals in Austria, Germany or Switzerland

= You should automatically be upgraded to a Platinum Card.

12. What is the Diamond Card, how can I apply for this and what benefits does this card have?

The Diamond Card is by invitation only. It has the same benefits as the Express card and you will be entitled to a discount of up to 20% on the online rates (except for special offers) and a double upgrade (subject to availability).

13. What other Sixt cards are there and what are their benefits?

  1. SIXT Corporate Card – Sixt Business Rental Portal: Use all of Sixt‘s online services via a tailor made solution.  Collect valuable miles or bonus points worldwide with our airline and hotel partners
  2. SIXT Ladies Card - this offers reductions when buying fashion and jewellery items.
