1.     I have rented a car with Sixt, can I extend the Rental Agreement by phone?

  • For rentals by credit card, extension requests by phone are possible up to a maximum of  5 days, depending on the increase in cost.
  • Debit Card rentals may not be extended by telephone, these must be done in person at a Sixt branch.

2.     What is the charge to cancel a reservation?

If you have made a prepaid reservation you will be charged a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be up to the first 3 days of the rental rate.  If the rental is less than 3 days, it will be the full rental.  

 

Pay on arrival cancellations may be made free of charge.

3.     How much notice must I give to cancel a reservation?

Cancellations can be made at any point prior to the start of the rental. Please note if a prepaid reservation is not cancelled prior to the start time and then not collected, the rental amount will still be charged to the customer in full.

4.     How do I amend or cancel a reservation?

Cancellations or amendments can be made via ‘My Sixt' or contacting our Customer Services team on +44(0) 8444 99 33 99.

5.     What is the charge to amend a reservation?

  1. Amendments can be made to prepaid reservations at a fee of £20.40 per amendment, however, if the rental cost increases as result of the amendment, we do not charge the amendment fee.
  2. Amendments to flexible bookings can be made at any point free of charge.

6.     How much notice must I give to amend a reservation?

  1. Prepaid amendments must be made at least 48 hours prior to the start of rental.
  2. Amendments to flexible bookings can be made at any point prior to the start.
