Within sight of Balmoral Hotel, it's only about 300 yards from Princes Street, the main shopping boulevard. From the station, take the Calton Road exit, under the arch and turn right into Greenside Row. The car park entrance is on your left, five minutes from the station. From Edinburgh Bus Station turn right into York Place, onto Broughton Street till the roundabout, then onto Leith Street, and turn left into Greenside Row. You can return your car to the same place when leaving Edinburgh.

There's lots to do in the centre of Edinburgh. The Edinburgh Playhouse is right next door to our car park, and Calton Hill looks out over the city centre, atop of which you'll find the Scottish National Monument, Nelson's Monument and Robert Burns' memorial. Princes Street is a shopper's paradise, so take a short drive there as well. And no visit to the city would be complete without a visit to venerable Edinburgh Castle, one of the most famous tourist attractions in the UK.

Recently rented a car here for 4 days. We ended up being provided a nicer car than originally booked, which was great because it came with additional safety features.

Staff members was very helpful and friendly. We did end up purchasing their additional insurance which ended up not necessary, but for us it provided additional peace of mind.

The only issue with this is the location address on the confirmation email is wrong, so it took a lot of beforehand research to figure out where we actually would pick up the car.

Great choice of cars, easy to access if coming from outside Edinburgh, excellent customer service by all staff, especially Jonas. Would recommend it to anyone.

Would have been five stars had it not been for the exorbitant surcharge of £300 I had to pay for a one-way hire. Seems unjustifiable.

Overall experience was very positive. Jonah at the Edinburgh Waverley Branch (Greenside Row) was fabulous throughout. Really efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. 100% happy. Very grateful for the upgraded vehicle, as I was doing two almost 500 mile one-way trips in 4 days.

Citröen C5 Aircross was a revelation. Really comfortable on an almost 9 hours journey. Big enough to cope with the luggage, and 61.9mpg on the run. Brilliant little car.

From a person who has been a regular Enterprise customer for 20+ years, you have a new fan. Sixt will be my first call for rentals in the future.

Make sure you take photos of all sides of your rental before you leave! And take photos of all sides and internals before you drop off! Especially if you do late drop off and there is no staff around. If the manager has no time because of busy period or else to take your photos and correct the rental form, you will still have proof. At this location for example you have to leave the car on the street with late drop off and damage after is possible out of your control.

And you’ll need proof as I was contacted later after the drop off about a scratch and dent I caused. Of course it was not true I had proof. Quite good price for renting a van. Add to your plan an extra 3 hours to be able to drop off on time and have public transport available back home. Pickup of your unit can take up to an hour if you have to hussle for the proper van. Best feature was the drop off at an other place and not having to drive back.

Easy collection and drop off, friendly and helpful staff.
