Kraków car hire with SIXT

Great service, very helpful team!

Wonderful experience! Very lucky to get a car from Sixt, given another provider cancelled my car rental last minute subject to a return flight delay. Pawel from Sixt was very helpful and professional. Also, stayed after closing time to help me after being turned down by the other car dealer. Having rented cars from many places before, I found Sixt to be the most solid! I have been offered a brand new shiny Nissan Kuga with 6k on a clock. No problems with a car return - dropped keys in a box just before my flight. I made sure to fill the tank, so as expected didn't have to pay any extra cost. P.S. Pawel offered me his phone charger as well (hope you found it in a box together with the car keys and registration documents).

I've been renting cars for a while now and from numerous companies out there, with that said I can state that I find Sixt to be the best company so far, consistently delivering great service with a word-class staff and great options of cars with an extra touch of a great clean smell in the car.

I see a lot of people complaining about the huge bill for scratches , I would say it is definitely avoidable. When we were renting the car, we asked for the Insurance to cover any damage, so we didn’t need to worry about anything , I strongly advise everyone to have it . If you think it’s expensive, you shouldn’t rent a car just take public transport, or rent from car share companies. The insurance were more expensive than the car rental fee , but we knew about it , they explained everything. Don’t expect everything to be “CHEAP and good ) , have some sense.

Ps : Im not getting paid by this , just telling you that renting car from big companies is not always that bad

I rented a car for business, great service

I actually had a good rental experience with this company.

Of course I was very worried because of all the bad reviews on Google.

My main reason for booking with Sixt, despite the reviews, was because I needed to take the car to Ostrava, 25 km into neighboring Czech Republic. ALL other rental companies charge €25-60 for crossing borders, but it was included in Sixt.

BOOKING

I booked directly on the Sixt website as I got a better deal than going through any price comparison sites like RyanAir, Booking.com and Wizz.

INSURANCE

Because of all the bad reviews and reports about made up damages, I bought their own CDW for an extra €16/day. I also bought an extra full coverage car rental insurance on the internet that covered everything and also the things not included by Sixt's CDW.

CAR

The car was nice and fresh with some 15 000 km on the meter, although not the Citroen C-4 as ordered but a Toyota Avensis Hybrid. It felt a bit weak to keep up with the 140 km/h speed limit on Polish high ways.

TAKE PHOTOS

Before leaving and returning, I parked the car in a well-lighted area of the parking garage to take pictures/videos of any existing damages. Fortunately I never needed the photos/videos. Bring a clean micro fiber cloth to remove any dirt and a flashlight (use the torch on another phone) might come in handy.

DOCUMENTS AND PARKING TICKET

Don't forget to return the vehicle's registration documents and the NEW garage ticket you get when entering the garage upon returning the car.

REFILL GAS

There is an Orlen petrol station just 500 m from the parking house. it can be a bit confusing how enter the gas station as you have to make a full circle and go back the way you came from in the roundabout. I made sure to fill the tank completely by filling some extra after the gas pump auto stops. So for me a good experience.
