How to get to your Sixt station London Stansted Airport:
by plane
Once you have arrived at Stansted Airport please follow signs for 'Buses' to get to the bus and coach area on the ground level. Please go to the bus waiting room and dial our FREEPHONE number 08000-329840 from the public phone located close to the vending machines on the left. Alternatively, please dial 0044-1279-501452 from your mobile phone to call our shuttle service. Our Sixt courtesy bus will meet you at bus stops 1-3 after approximately 7-10 minutes.by bus/train
All the buses from local towns like Bishop's Stortford, Harlow or Braintree arrive at the bus and coach area at Stansted Airport. Trains will arrive at the Airport train station. Once you have arrived please follow the general procedure explained in the section 'By Plane'.by car
Please proceed to junction 8 of the M11. If travelling from London take the first exit marked A120 (W). Exit at junction 8 and take the B1256 towards Takeley. After half a mile you will see an Audi dealership on the right hand side. Take the right turn and then the first left and follow that road straight to the end where you will find our Sixt branch on the right hand side.Shuttle Information
Our free shuttle service is available on request during normal business hours and will meet all customers at bus stop 1 of the Stansted Airport bus and coach area on the ground level. The journey to and from the airport takes approximately 7-10 minutes.Return information

After a lorry carrying livestock last night, part of the M11 leading into London was closed for 10 hours whilst the local emergency services and the RSPCA rescued pigs from the wreckage and herded up 12 pigs that had escaped. The southbound carriageway was closed at junction 8 at 5am this morning whilst repairs to the central reservation were carried out. Unfortunately 3 of the pigs, some weighing up to 20st, had to be put down due to the injuries they had sustained during the crash. The driver suffered injuries to their head and shoulder during the accident and was taken to hospital in Harlow to recover.

Sixt Stansted Airport offers a regular minibus from the arrivals terminal Bus Stop 1 to our location which is just a short drive from the airport. So if you%u2019re flying into Stansted and need a gre car at a low price there really is no better solution for your car hire than Sixt.

Guide to Stansted Airport:
Stansted Airport has grown in popularity and size over the last 10 years driven by the boom in low fare air travel. With the low-cost airlines like Easyjet and Ryanair offering numerous cheap flights to many countries throughout Europe, including Spain, Germany, France and Italy. Originally an RAF base the airport started commercial operations in the 1960's and has steadily expanded to become London's third airport.
For many of the 20 million people that pass through Stansted's terminal on an annual basis, the easy access to London and the many attractions within the capital city make it an ideal low-cost destination to start a holiday in the UK.
The trip from the terminal to London for many people involves taking the Stansted Express train which travels to London Liverpool Street Station every 15 minutes, although many choose the simplicity and convenience of car hire to get the to their true destination.
Visitors can also take advantage of the airport's location and visit some of the local towns and cities such as Colchester, Cambridge, Braintree and Chelmsford or even look around East Anglia, Suffolk and Norfolk.
