Last Wednesday the biggest names in the travel industry descended on the Battersea Evolution to attend the prestigious British Travel Awards 2016. Sixt is incredibly happy to have taken home the Gold Prize for Best Car Hire Provider for the second year running, and was also awarded the Silver Prize for Best Online Retailer Customer Service for the first time!
Since 2008 the awards have been the marque of top performance in leisure travel and tourism enterprises. With registered voter numbers growing dramatically each year, the awards’ popularity with the public is clearly demonstrated and going from strength to strength. Indeed, as the only purely consumer-voted awards in the travel industry, receiving one of their titles is a huge honour. This year a whopping 1,332,516 votes and opinions were cast in total between 4th July and 30th September 2016.
