TAXI IN MUNICH

You are now able to book a taxi in Munich on the SIXT app! We are working together with both Taxi München eG and Isarfunk to offer our customers to chance to order official local taxis through our app. So now you only need one app to rent cars, use SIXT's carsharing service and to book a taxi. Once you have downloaded the SIXT app, simply go to the 'ride' section where you can still schedule rides in advance, but now also have the option of having a local taxi driver pick you up immediately. Simply enter your destination, choose the taxi which best suits your needs and a driver will immediately be sent to your current location. You are able to track your driver's progress all the way, so you know when they will arrive to pick you up. As we are partnered with the taxi industry in Munich, we are able to offer officially licensed taxis and drivers. You only pay the regular fare as you would with any other taxi, but you don't have to worry about having any cash on you to pay for your ride. Our cashless payment system means that you just need to link your credit card to your SIXT account and then this will be charged upon completion of your journey. Our taxi service is available 24/7, seven days a week within around a 28 mile/45km radius of the centre of Munich.
