Whether for vacation, a weekend trip, a move, or a day rental, we deliver your vehicle directly to your home or business address. Upon request, you will receive a brief introduction to your vehicle at handover.

How SIXT Delivery works

Vehicle delivery

• Book SIXT Delivery directly when reserving your vehicle.
• We deliver your vehicle at the agreed time to your desired location.
• Get in and enjoy your drive with your SIXT rental car!

Vehicle pickup

• Schedule the pickup directly when booking.
• End your rental easily via Self Service – simply access your booking.
• We collect the vehicle and return it to the SIXT branch.
• Alternatively, you can arrange the pickup of the vehicle conveniently via Chat or WhatsApp.

Fees and conditions

• Payments for delivery or pickup can only be made by credit card.
• Charges are calculated by direct distance – your advantage: no extra costs from traffic or detours.
• All rentals are subject to SIXT’s rental terms and conditions.

Please note: Delivery and collection is subject to availability. Our dedicated branch will contact you if delivery will not be possible. For delivery and collection you must make a prepaid ("Pay Now") booking.

You can modify your SIXT reservation directly online via Self-Service or via the App. Once you log in to Self-Service, a security code will be sent to your email address, giving you direct access to your booking details so you can conveniently make changes if needed. Alternatively, you can contact our Support Team via Chat or WhatsApp.

Note: Conditions may differ for Prepaid ("Pay Now") bookings. Please check the terms of your booking in the rental information.

Note for wholesaler bookings: All adjustments must be made through the wholesaler directly, and cannot be managed by SIXT.

Extend or shorten your rental

Changes to your rental period can be made online via Self-Service or via the App, subject to availability. Alternatively, you can request changes via Chat or WhatsApp.

Change return location

You can easily change your return location online via Self-Service or via the App during an ongoing rental. Alternatively, you can inform us of changes via Chat or WhatsApp.

Add additional services after booking

You can add or modify additional services such as liability reduction including theft protection, tire and glass protection, or an additional driver up until the start of your rental. Fees for any additionally added drivers apply for the entire rental period.

Has your appointment been rescheduled? Is your move delayed? Or have your weekend plans changed at short notice? No problem: With SIXT, you can flexibly cancel your car rental reservation – depending on the tariff you booked.

If you pay for your rental at pickup (Flexi rate), you can cancel at any time before the rental begins at no cost, without incurring any cancellation fees. This way, you stay mobile in any situation and can plan your trip with peace of mind.

If you pay for your rental in advance (Prepaid rate), you can also cancel your booking. Especially convenient: cancellations or changes are free within 24 hours of booking, provided your scheduled pickup is more than 48 hours away. The exact fees and conditions can be found in our rental information. This way, you always know exactly what options apply to your booking and can plan your trip securely.

Note for wholesaler bookings: All cancellations must be made through the wholesaler directly, and cannot be managed by SIXT.

Note for corporate customers: Customers with individual agreements may have different regulations.

How can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your booking online or via our app at any time before the rental begins.

SIXT generally offers the rental of vehicle groups, not specific makes or models. Therefore, we cannot guarantee a particular car model.

However, you can indicate a preference during the online booking under “Comments.” We will do our best to accommodate your choice, depending on availability at the time of pick-up.

Choose your vehicle easily via the App

The SIXT App makes selecting your car even more convenient:

• About 30 minutes before the start of your rental, you can choose your vehicle from the available models within your booked category.
• This allows you to enjoy maximum flexibility and transparency and easily select the vehicle from your booked category that suits you best – all conveniently from your smartphone.

Features for Special / Luxury Cars

For the rental of Special and Luxury Cars:

• Payment must be made with a valid credit card only.
• Debit cards are not accepted.
• A higher security deposit will be blocked on your card compared to standard vehicles.
