The Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabrio: Elegant and fierce in equal measure
The roof has gone, but the ruggedly attractive exterior and the sheer power remain, in the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabrio. It's a blisteringly moody beast with the vocal range you'd expect from a V8 super-car and a suavely finished interior. The motorsport influences are clear to see, but this is a more muscular car with wider wings and twin radiator grills.Mercedes have taken the sports car to new levels of comfort, with dynamic driving and plenty of cabin space.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabrio is part of the iconic brand's high performance range of vehicles, all of which carry the AMG moniker. This division was initially charged with building racing engines, but by the mid 1980's they had started to produce custom cars for the road. Released in 1986, the classic AMG Hammer sedan was their earliest passenger car. With an aggressive V8 engine, twin camshafts and 32-valve cylinder heads, it was said to be faster than a Lamborghini Countach over 0-60 mph. This was followed by the compact Mercedes-Benz W124 in the late 1980s, and a range of luxury saloon cars which made up the the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class collection during the 1990's.
As an all-wheel drive car, the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabriocan handle any conditions. The expert road grip is matched by a 4.0 litre V8 engine, packing 476 horse power and capable of travelling from 0-62mph in only 4.0 seconds. The twin-tailed exhaust pipe and the light alloy wheels add a sense of dominance and energy to an impressively purposeful luxury car.

A masterpiece of German engineering
As part of the prestigious Daimler AG automobile manufacturing company, Mercedes Benz is known for its extensive range of luxury cars, trucks and coaches. The name can be traced back to 1886 in Germany, when Karl Benz first patented his motorwagen, which is generally regarded as the first petrol powered vehicle. Since then, the brand has stuck to its motto 'The best or nothing', becoming a major player on the global stage, both for passenger cars and in motorsport. Mercedes Benz is currently active in Formula One and their drivers have enjoyed many successes over the last few seasons. The Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabrio's only serious competition comes from the BMW M4, but with a better looking exterior, an intelligent drive system and roaring engine, the AMG wins hands down. It's the ultimate in luxury car hire.
