Thanks to our friends at Audi, Sixt UK are delighted to announce the arrival of the award winning 2016 Audi A4 Avant<\/a> to our ever-growing fleet.<\/p>\n

If you follow the motoring press you will already know that this vehicle has been received with critical acclaim both in saloon and estate versions, regularly outperforming in tests against Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. The car we tested was the A4 2.0TDi Avant in S Line spec<\/strong> with the popular 2 litre 150PS Turbo Diesel engine<\/strong>. On first impressions, the 2016 model has a sharper, cleaner, sporty look with new chrome accents on the front bumper and enhanced bodyside line. Externally the new model has the inclusion of LED driving lights<\/strong> and indicators, 18\u201d multi-spoke alloy wheels<\/strong>, sports body kit, front fog lights and chrome exhaust.<\/p>\n

The interior features full leather, S Line styled trim panels in contrasting aluminium panels, multifunction sports steering wheel, 8 Speaker DAB stereo with Bluetooth music input, redesigned large screen Sat Nav and full 3 zone electronic climate control. The most notable new feature is the central touch screen LCD display panel which controls all the major functions of the car, featuring a heads up display projected onto the inside of the windscreen, fully configurable to different sizes to keep your eyes on the road and not the dash. Another addition is the new glass instrument display, all gauges are replaced with super sharp LCD displays that are both bright and easy to read. The central console has also had a revision, featuring touch sensitive mouse pad\/dial, new switches for radio, nav, phone and radio that are both intuitive and easy to use.<\/p>\n

Practicality is good – the front seats are very comfortable with fully adjustable back support. The car has excellent legroom front and back and the estate configuration gives excellent luggage space for 4 adults and bags.<\/p>\n

On the road we drove the new A4 on a 300+ mile trip, over a mix of motorways and busy A roads. The 150PS Turbo Diesel engine with 7 speed automatic gearbox was smooth, quiet and gave real confidence when overtaking, especially in manual mode using the steering wheel paddles. At the same time, road noise and ride was excellent keeping driver fatigue to a minimum. In the corners the car is agile and responsive with the S- line spec giving minimal body roll and confidence. The New A4 is just at home in the city, back road or busy motorway.<\/p>\n

Overall: excellent build quality, smart styling, powerful and economic engine and great handling.<\/strong><\/p>\n
