To compile the index, we blended data from Google search volume, weather and pollution figures, public transport connections and car parking availability, Instagram post coverage, and review data. Ranking the scenic locations around the country allowed for the creation of an index score that highlights which of the locations are the least well-known\/covered and therefore represent the best-kept secrets for many individuals in the UK looking to explore.
