Manchester City is one of England’s leading football teams and their stadium is equally impressive. Whether for a match or a tour Etihad is something incredible to witness.<\/p>\n

Old Trafford<\/h3>\n

And that’s not to say Manchester United are any less famous or important to the city of Manchester. If though you’re a Man. Utd. supporter, then it would be more in your interest to visit Old Trafford, one of England’s most iconic football stadiums.<\/p>\n

Manchester Art Gallery<\/h3>\n

One of the finest places in England to view art the Manchester Art Gallery has an impressive collection from ancient artefacts to contemporary paintings. The Pre-Raphaelite collection is particularly important with a high number of the defining works from the British movement.<\/p>\n

Manchester Cathedral<\/h3>\n

Found centrally by the river on Victoria street the Gothic style cathedral was rebuilt from a simple parish in 1421. There are guided tours available to see the intricate architectural details and learn about its historic significance.<\/p>\n

Northern Quarter<\/h3>\n

If you enjoy good coffee, interesting independent shops, street art and endless pubs and bars then this is an area you shouldn’t miss. A famous area for Manchester that draws students, nightlife and visitors alike.<\/p>\n

The Baths were opened in 1906 during the Edwardian period on Hathersage Road, once considered the most splendid bathing house in the whole country. Today visitors can visit on the second Sunday of every month and see the intricate mosaics and designs with guided tours.<\/p>\n

Fletcher Moss Park & Botanical Gardens<\/h3>\n

Located in Didsbury, Manchester, the park and botanical gardens are relaxing as they are beautiful. It has a collection of very rare plants from the world over and there’s also tennis courts available for rent.<\/p>\n

Chetham’s Library<\/h3>\n

But if you’re really into literature then this haunted building is for you. Attached to the music school this wonder of literary, classical music and architecture will have you fascinated as you explore the ancient building. In fact, it is the oldest library of its kind in the English speaking world.<\/p>\n

Paramount Bookshop<\/h3>\n

An iconic little second-hand bookshop with a focus on comics and Sci-Fi. It’s old look and friendly service will put a smile on anyone’s face as you’re drawn by the classical music playing on speakers outside.<\/p>\n
