Sao Paulo is well-connected with the airport and neighboring towns and cities with a number of large motorways. The city itself is enveloped by a large ring road which is fairly easy to navigate. From the Sixt rental office at Sao Paulo airport take the major 116 road into the city where it becomes an inner ring road, making it really easy to either head to the Downtown or to a location in another part of the city. Once in downtown Sao Pualo the narrower roads become more difficult to navigate if it's your first time, so consider renting a Sat Nav along with your car rental to make life easier. Bear in mind that make left turns are often challenge in this city and it's often worth taking three rights instead.
Sao Paulo is a vast, bustling city that is far more beautiful than it first appears. Many of the major attractions are in the Downtown area, but some such as the zoo and the football stadiums are found outside of the centre. Try to fit in time to do both inner city and outer city attractions.
