What is a Partner Program?

Our Partner Program means you get a commission for each Sixt booking your website generates. You become a virtual sales partner and earn according to your sales.

How does the Sixt Partner Program work?

As a Sixt cooperation partner, you create a link from your website to Sixt's rental car booking page and get a commission for every booking generated by your link.

You can provide a link to two different rental car products: Sixt rent a car and Holiday Cars .

What's in it for me?

What websites can take part in the Affiliate Program?

The Sixt Affiliate Program is available to travel agents with their own websites and commercial website operators.

To ensure your success as a Sixt partner, we recommend that you only take part if the content of your website is usefully related to our business. You fit the bill best if your content or focus is on one or more of the following topics:

How much does it cost to join the Partner Program?

Joining the Partner Program is free. So you can only benefit.

When are commissions/earnings paid?

We pay your commissions/earnings at the end of each month.

Can a non-German website also become a partner?

Yes, the Sixt Partner Program is available in other countries too using Zanox, Tradedoubler, Affilinet, Commission Junction, Cibleclick, Affiliate Future, Buy.at, Testnet.nl, Mbuyu. The countries are: the UK, France, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.

I run several websites. Can I still become a partner?

Yes. Simply tell us all the URLs you want to register. Please register all your websites in the network.

What do I have to do to join the program?

Apply to the networks listed here. You choose the network - the conditions and advertising options are the same for all of them.

How does the Partner Program work?

Once you have applied to the network, we take a look at your website and either accept or reject it. Then you receive an email from the network with the activation details. That gives you access to the advertising options and the HTML codes you can integrate into the source text of your website. The best way to do this is using copy&paste.

After that, all views/clicks/sales in the network are logged.

What are my obligations as a partner?

There are no obligations. You don't have to generate any minimum sales. However, please read our participation conditions.

I don't have a website. Can I still apply?

Yes, for instance you can use text links in your email signature.

Will my participation in the Partner Program increase the number of hits to my website?

Using these ads boosts the attractiveness of your site. This may well lead to more visitors.

Where should I place the links on my website?

It's best to place the ads on your site's homepage, or in a highly visible place.

Can I publish product prices? If not, why?

This is not advisable, because the prices would then not be automatically updated. Only use official ads.

How can I find out how much commission I have earned?

Log in to the partner network. Look at the statistics to see your current commission status.

How do you know what bookings come from my website?

Whenever an ad is clicked on your website, a cookie is activated that we use to identify the partner site. No personal data is transferred.

How long is the cookie active? Do I also get commission for a customer who does not book from Sixt until a few days later?

The cookie is active for 30 days. Within this time, you get commission for customers who log in again.
