Along with our fine selection of cars we also have a fleet of 15 and 17 seater minibuses available to rent. These are perfect for groups that are landing at Manchester Airport and need to travel together. Our minibuses are also popular with local sports groups and clubs. But remember you will need a category D1 on your license to drive a minibus in the UK.

20/01/2010 - Guide to Manchester Airport
Information and History:
Manchester Airport is one of the UK's busiest airports, with over 20 million passengers arriving and departing on a yearly basis from one of the airport's 3 terminals. The airport started out as an airfield in the 1930's, built originally for international flights although during the second world war it was used as a base for operational flight training and paratrooper training.
With the airport free to be used commercially after the war it began trans-atlantic flights in the 1950's providing a service between Manchester and Idlewild (now known as JFK Airport) in New York and from there has expanded into the airport that we know today.
The airport is also home to one of the remaining Concordes, which where sadly removed from commercial use in 2003, where you can take a tour around the world's only supersonic passenger airliner. Alongside the Concorde exhibition is also the airport viewing park which offers unrivalled views of the planes taking off and landing at the airport.
