"The two rental agents at Manchester airport that made my rental so easy should be thanked for their extremly high levels of customer service. It's great to see a smile when you've just got off an early flight in to anywhere and to be met with pleasent and easy to deal with staff is a credit to Sixt. I will not only rent from Sixt again because of this but I have already rented my next car in Edinburgh airport and hope that the level of customer service is the same there also. Many thanks for a great service"

Manchester Airport is one of the UK's busiest airports, with over 20 million passengers arriving and departing on a yearly basis from one of theairport's 3 terminals. The airport started out as an airfield in the 1930's, built originally for international flights although during the second world war it was used as a base for operationalflight training and paratrooper training.

With the airport free to be used commercially after the war it began trans-atlantic flights in the 1950's providing a service between Manchester andIdlewild (now known as JFK Airport) in New York and from there has expanded into the airport that we know today.

The airport is also home to one of the remaining Concordes, which where sadlyremoved from commercial use in 2003, where you can take a tour around the world's only supersonic passenger airliner. Alongside the Concorde exhibition is also the airport viewing park which offersunrivalled views of the planes taking off and landing at the airport.
