we would like to take you to our personal Sixt-Sightseeing-Tour through Wiesbaden. But first a few informations about the city. Wiesbaden is one of the oldest spas of Europewith its 15 thermal- or mineral springs. Hessens second bigest city does have about 287.000 inhabitants. Wiesbaden is one of the ten regional metropolis of Hessen and is considered a core-city of theRhein-Main area, just like Frankfurt/Main, Mainz and Darmstadt. Our personal Sixt-Sightseeing-Tour will start at the Sixt-Station at the Schiersteiner Straße 54. From there we will go to the central station (Bahnhofsplatz 1).With daily about 500 trains departing for the long-distant traffic and regional passenger rail Wiesbadens central station is the main traffic element of Wiesbaden. From there you pass the Reisingeranlagen and the Rhein-Main-Hallen to arrive at the Wilhelmstraße. At the end of the Wilhemlstraße, you find the Hessische Staatstheater and the spa hotel with a casino (Christian-Zais-Straße). At thefront of the main entrance is the so called Bowling Green, a lawn with two fountains named by the english patient of the health spa. Every year there are open air concerts on the Bowling Green, whereeven Sting, Elton John, Leonard Cohen and many more preformed already. From the health spar you can cross the Parkstraße to reach the Aukamm-Thermalbad (Leibnizstraße).

From here our tourcontinues to the Neroberg. It is a favored destination for excursions. It is 130m higher than the city center at the Schlossplatz. On the Neroberg you will find the Russian Orthodox Church(Christian-Spielmann-Weg), whose domes are plated with gold. Near to the Church is the Bergpark, whose center is a Monopteros. From here you have a nice view to the city center. A bit under theMonopteros you can find the Opelbad, a pool founded by Wilhelm von Opel. Furthermore you can find the tower of the former Neroberghotel, today with a restaurant.
